KFC starts taking pre-order of "Party Barrel" for this Christmas. I was asked some of my friends if we had Kentucky Fried Chicken for Christmas when I was in Seattle. Yes, having KFC for Christmas dinner is fairly popular for Japanese people --- that was my answer. Japanese imported some food cultures from the U.S after WWII, and having turkey for Christmas must have been one of them. However, since turkey meat wasn't common in Japan, KFC Japan was early to spot introducing new practice --- chicken meat instead of turkey meat for Christmas. Their clever sales strategy was successful and it has become a sort of Japanese Christmas tradition.
It's a bit too small for Europeans? (They are taller than Japanese people.) Those who stay at luxury hotels in central Tokyo during their stay are willing to experience these capsule hotels. It's definitely unique accommodation.
